What sets this capsule apart is its rich mid‑low frequency response. Unlike similar models, its high‑frequency response remains exceptionally flat—never emphasized—resulting in remarkably true‑to‑source sound reproduction. Ideal for building or upgrading both solid‑state and tube‑style condenser microphones.

Important Usage Notes for Gold‑Plated Capsules:

Do not touch the internal diaphragm. Handle only by the metal backplate.

Protect from moisture. When not in use, store the microphone in a sealed container in a relatively dry environment.

A preamp circuit board is required. The capsule needs a polarization voltage between 3V‑70V provided by a preamp board. Connecting it directly without a preamp will produce no sound.
