Description:

The HTT- U47 FET1 features a 34mm gold-sputtered capsule, a faithful 7-transistor circuit, a permalloy output transformer, -10dB pad, and a low-cut filter.

It utilizes a unique negative-feedback gain control circuit that operates similarly to an optical compressor, managing peak levels. The mainboard consists of 1 FET preamp stage, 5 transistors for DC biasing, and 1 transistor driving the output transformer. Together with the transformer, these 7 transistors form a precise closed-loop gain control circuit, maintaining half of the DC supply voltage across the primary winding.

With an impressive 137dB SPL handling, the U47 FET1 is widely praised for its extreme headroom, making it an ideal replacement for dynamic microphones in recording percussion and drums.

It also excels as a vocal microphone, effectively rejecting ambient noise while delivering a distinct smoky character. Compared to the U47 tube version, it offers a flatter, more compressed response, a broader 5dB presence boost, and remarkably detailed sound quality. In recordings, its performance rivals that of international counterparts priced around USD4000.
